| Miami Theater Center’s Musical Theatre Summer camp is not a conservatory program. We believe in inclusion, and working together to foster an environment of positivity, creativity, and building confidence in young performers. We strive for a safe environment for expression and creative development. We teach the building blocks of Theatre Arts from Concept to Performance. Camp Overview Over four weeks we will be creating an original show in age-appropriate groups. Our campers with the guidance of our teaching artists write the show, pick the music, create dances, and build props for their show. The day is divided into four blocks Acting, Dance, Music, and Design. We also have a daily showcase we call Slam Jam - It allows for the students to work independently or in self-selected groups on skits, songs, other performances. |
