| La Casa de la Muñeca, an original Flamenco Ballet by Ilisa Rosal, inspired by Ibsen’s A Doll’s house, presented by Ballet Flamenco La Rosa, a professional Flamenco company based in Miami, Florida, and made up of dancers from Spain, the U.S. and Latin America. This magnificent production features Guest Artists from Spain dancers La Sentío, Oscar de los Reyes and Eloy Aguilar, singer Alicia Morales and guitarist Israel Heredia. With its exquisite vocals and guitar melodies, electrifying footwork, spellbinding athleticism and elegant grace, Flamenco is at once sensual and spiritual, raw and refined, and a compelling way to tell this mesmerizing story of love, loyalty, duty, desperation, family, friendship, betrayal, honor, suffering, passion and loss. On April 12th join StartUP FIU and Matt Haggman, Knight Foundation’s Miami program director and one of the principle thinkers shaping the entrepreneurship and technology ecosystem in Miami, for a candid discussion and fact-finding exercise to better understand the challenges in securing tech jobs in South Florida. In his role as Miami program director, Matt Haggman leads Knight’s communities program in South Florida. Over the past few years this has included supporting the launch of Endeavor Miami, The Idea Center at Miami Dade College, eMerge Americas, Black Tech Week, LaunchCode South Florida, Startupbootcamp Miami, Babson's Women Innovating Now Lab, The Lab Miami, and many other programs. What is StartUP FIU? StartUP is an initiative focused on creating traditional and social entrepreneurship among students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members.
