POD 22 is a reinvented indoor playground bringing a much needed family-friendly venue to Biscayne Blvd. The new business will be celebrating its opening with an Open Play Bash on October 2nd , where everyone attending will receive 22% off Open Play prices from noon until 5pm. POD 22 offers Open Play or Supervised Play, as well as seasonal classes and birthday parties. Customers can pay to play each time or join as members and receive 10% off all core services among other benefits. Better yet, not only does the space feature an ultra-cool playground with services for kids, but also amenities such as a luxe micro nail salon and a stylish lounge specifically designed to cater to a modern parents. As its name indicates, the place is about solving the Catch-22 of parenting: time with the kids and time on your own - simultaneously. The idea comes from local Miami Shores resident and creator Virginia Aguirrebeitia, who thought something was missing from the Miami parenting scene. “During the week I traveled extensively for my corporate job and on weekends I attended birthday parties for my kids’ friends. I had no time to relax without constantly feeling guilty about leaving my children yet again. So I challenged myself to create a guilt-free place where kids and parents could be happy either together or [each] in their own activities.” POD 22 is open Tuesday- Friday from 10 am to 7 pm; Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and, Sunday noon to 6 PM.
