A great evening that makes a huge difference in The Shores!
One thing that truly makes Miami Shores a great place to live is the Annual Mayor’s Benefit Gala. The event will showcase gourmet food, an open bar, lively entertainment, dancing, a silent auction and hundreds of neighbors both young and old who will come together for our biggest social event of the year. The Gala is guaranteed to be a great time and to also have a major impact on the positive quality of life within our wonderful village.

The Mayor’s Benefit Gala is the primary fundraising event for The Miami Shores Community Alliance (MSCA). MSCA is a collaborative group of non-profit organizations, educational and religious institutions, community leaders, and individuals who provide effective communication, fundraising opportunities, and shared resources to promote and ensure a quality experience for all those living, working or visiting in the Shores.

The money raised through last year’s Gala went to support twenty one local schools, churches and nonprofit organizations who diligently strive to make a difference within our community. The money supported major events such as the Tree Lighting, Unity Day, Marshmallow Drop and Memorial Day along with many smaller cultural events throughout the year. MSCA was also able to provide students with books, transportation and even repair their band instruments. The whole list, of course, is even longer. Yes, The Mayor’s Gala is not only a lively and enjoyable event but truly does help to make our Village a very caring and special place.
